Our community partners—donors, volunteers, local businesses, students and community advocates—play an important role in advancing our agency’s mission. Thank you for considering ways that you can get involved, too.
Our agency has a full spectrum of volunteer and internship positions. Last year alone more than 170 volunteers logged 11,559 hours in crisis and supportive services, fund development, and administrative work—all with the common goal of ending domestic and sexual violence in our community.
Spring is just around the corner and Center for Women in Transition is collecting product for our annual May Baskets Campaign! This campaign is fashioned after the traditional May Day, when a basket of flowers was presented to a special person. However, in place of the flowers we present a laundry basket filled with personal care and household cleaning items to help offset the expense of taxable items, which cannot be purchased with any type of public assistance. For over forty years, Center for Women in Transition has been assisting families who are experiencing life-changing situations such as domestic violence or sexual assault. These families need our help!
We will be collecting personal care and household items at our Holland Program Office throughout the month of May.
